Over 50 years ago, Dequest® products pioneered the development of phosphonate-based threshold scale inhibitors and chelants, playing a crucial role in the replacement of phosphates as builder systems in household detergent formulations. These solutions remain a cornerstone for effective cleaning, stain removal and long-term benefits such as whiteness maintenance and prevention of fibre incrustation. Over time, the offer has been further expanded with advanced polymers and carboxymethyl inulin derivatives, delivering high purity and maximum performance across a wide range of fabric and home care applications.
Beyond this, our portfolio also includes esterquats, which are the core components in fabric softener formulations. Thanks to a wide range of solutions, it is possible to develop products spanning from highly concentrated to very diluted formulations, ensuring optimized and cost-effective manufacturing processes. Our technical expertise supports customers in developing innovative softeners aligned with the growing demand for greener, safer and more sustainable solutions.
In addition, Italmatch offers specialty Phosphonic Acid Derivatives such as nOPA, a special product used as corrosion inhibitors in Aluminium metal cleaning formulations and surface treatments.
