In applications where very high purity is essential, Italmatch offers high-purity chelating solutions suitable for cosmetic use (Turpinal®). These materials are produced with very low metal content and are subject to thorough quality control procedures, including microbiological testing. Each batch is supplied with a detailed certificate of analysis covering chemical purity and trace metal content, ensuring reliability and consistency for sensitive cosmetic formulations.

In addition, our manufacturing capabilities include the production of acid chlorides suitable for personal care applications, produced at our Arese (Italy) plant, which is one of the world’s largest facilities producing this solution using phosphorus trichloride technology.

Our oleochemicals products are primarily used as excipients, playing a critical role in pharmaceutical formulations. Our pharmaceutical offering is also supported by Detrex hydrochloric acid line robust manufacturing and quality systems designed to meet the stringent expectations of the industry. No other HCl producer matches our quality and purity under a proven FDA quality management system auditable by you and your customers. Our Pharmaceutical APIs and excipients are produced in an FDA-registered and inspected drug manufacturing facility, operating in accordance with pharmaceutical standards such as NF, EP, BP, JP, IP and ChP. Pharmaceutical-grade products are available with controlled elemental impurity levels, supported by USP-validated processes and a comprehensive quality management system. This includes a master validation plan, SAP-integrated QMS management, validated QT9 software, a master calibration program, a CAPA system and a structured documentation control system. Together, these elements ensure full traceability to all source raw materials and a consistently high level of purity throughout the entire production chain.

Moreover, Italmatch supports pharmaceutical manufacturing through the supply of specialized intermediates and reagents. Distilled acid chlorides of both natural and synthetic origin are produced at our Arese (Italy) manufacturing site, one of the world’s largest facilities using phosphorus trichloride technology and are available for use in pharmaceutical applications. Furthermore, phosphorus oxychloride (POCl₃) is used in chlorination reactions within the pharmaceutical industry, where it serves as an important reagent in organic synthesis. We also offer Phosphorus Pentachloride (PCl5), which is used as a chlorinating reagent in the manufacturing of antibiotics.
